Important Incoming Student Checklist

We can't wait to welcome the Fall 2024 incoming class! Please use the checklist below as a guide to help plan ahead for your first days as a law student at GW Law. Many items can be completed in advance; some are required, while others are encouraged. Please continue to check back as updates are made.

Incoming LLM & MSL Student Checklist

Mandatory In-Person Orientation Session

Newly admitted GW students in F-1 Student status and J-1 Student status are required to attend mandatory in-person New International Student Orientations. At orientation, you will learn essential information related to maintaining your immigration status as well as benefits that are available to you as an international student at GW. Take this opportunity to learn important immigration regulations, meet your ISO advisor, and connect with fellow international students! Lunch will be provided.

Please note that the ISO New International Student Orientations are in addition to any school or program-specific orientation offered by your respective academic schools. Be sure that you understand which days/times you'll be expected to attend different orientation sessions.
