We hope this message finds you well. We are eagerly anticipating welcoming you all next week. This message is to provide some new information as well as helpful reminders.
Inn Assignments and Course Schedules – Your course schedule is ready and can be found in GWEB. Check here for information on how to use GWEB, including instructions on how to log in. While in GWeb, please update your mailing address as well as your emergency contact.
Once you locate your course schedule, you can find the book list for Fall 2020 on the Records page. Your professors will post PDF copies of your first week’s reading assignments on your course’s MyLaw portal page. Here is information on how to access the portal. In addition to finding information on your individual courses, you can go to the student directory to add your preferred name, phonetic pronunciation of first and last names, and personal pronouns.
Orientation Schedule – The Orientation 2020 schedule is now available on the new Orientation website, including the SBA social activities. We will hold Orientation by Inn so please take a look at your Inn's specific schedule on the Orientation website. All sessions will be held virtually and links to the various sessions will be available on the website next week. As a reminder, Orientation is mandatory, and we will take attendance.
Financial Aid Note - If you are anticipating a credit balance of financial aid funds after tuition is paid (i.e., refund), we strongly encourage you to enroll in GW Direct Deposit for refund purposes. Here you can enroll by entering your bank account information to establish your account. We encourage you to take the time now to familiarize yourself with the system.
The GW Student Accounts Office handles all questions on billing and payment. Please refer to their website for questions and contact information. Financial Aid funds will disburse the first day of classes (Monday, August 17, 2020) with refunds available later that same week.
