SBA Orientation Events

Welcome incoming students! We are so excited to get to welcome you to GW Law. A very important part of orientation is the social schedule, as it’s a great way to get to know other incoming students. We have some great events planned for this coming week. Take a look and register for SBA orientation events below.

6 pm - 8 pm, Trivia

Lower Lerner 101 (LL101)

Flex your random DC, law, history and pop culture knowledge with your new classmates! Please bring your phone or device to play. Sandwiches and drinks will be provided.

6 pm - 8 pm, 1L of a Good Time

Outside LLC

Come enjoy food, drinks, and good conversation with your whole class at one of orientation’s biggest events! Gather together for the first time as an entire class in the recreation area outside the LLC; rain location will be inside the LLC.

3 pm - 5 pm, Games on the Yard

University Yard

Enjoy outdoor games, popsicles, and sun on your new law school quad. Think: cornhole, spike ball, frisbee, and more! Bring water to stay hydrated.

5 pm - 7 pm: DC Scavenger Hunt

University Yard

Explore your new city with your new classmates! Students may go in groups around the city, taking a picture at each location. The first team to send all the photos to the First Year Team ([email protected]) wins a prize.

7 pm - 9 pm: Monument Walk

Meet in Front of Lerner Hall

Visit the National Monuments sitting just blocks away from your new classrooms. Join the First Year Team for an easy stroll around the mall and get to know your new classmates along the way. Please make sure to bring water and wear bug spray!

7 pm - 9 pm: Bar Review

Celebrate the start of your 1L year! Each Inn will visit a different DC bar and get to know your new classmates while enjoying drink specials, snacks, and music.
